Welcome to July!
Congratulations on stepping into the second half of the year! Building a daily habit of connecting with God’s Word is a remarkable journey, and every step forward is worth celebrating.
This month, our daily readings cover practical wisdom, encouragement for daily living, and profound theology:
1 & 2 Thessalonians (July 2 – July 9): Letters filled with hope about the future. Paul encourages believers to stay watchful, work faithfully, and encourage one another while looking forward to Christ’s return.
Pastoral Epistles & Philemon (July 10 – July 23): Personal letters written to young leaders (1 & 2 Timothy, Titus) and a moving note on forgiveness and reconciliation (Philemon). They offer rich guidance on character, perseverance, and everyday faith.
Beginning Hebrews (July 24 – July 31): A powerful letter revealing Jesus Christ as the ultimate expression of God’s glory—far superior to angels and prophets—offering us true rest and a better covenant.
Keep an open and relaxed heart. When a verse strikes a chord, pause for a moment, take a breath, and talk to God about it in prayer. Let’s keep moving forward together!
Key Themes for July:
Hope & Readiness: Live a holy, purposeful, and joyful life while looking forward to Christ’s promise (1 Thessalonians 4–5).
Passing the Torch: Learn how to guard your faith, finish your race well, and leave a positive spiritual legacy (2 Timothy 4).
A Superior High Priest: Recognize Jesus as the radiant glory of God who intimately understands our struggles (Hebrews 1–4).

Apply Practical Wisdom: In the Pastoral Epistles, notice how Paul connects deep theology directly with how we treat family, friends, and work colleagues.
A Verse to Carry: Memorize 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18: "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances"—it’s a great daily anchor!
Find Rest in Jesus: In Hebrews 4, reflect on Jesus as our compassionate High Priest who welcomes us to come boldly to Him when we need grace.
